ETA-223 is the fire company's second-line "engine" truck. It also has the designation of a tanker truck because it has a 1250 gallon tank, which is large enough for a tanker classification.

Also, like E-222, it features a 1000 gallon per minute Darley pump. It is used primarily for pumping water to structure fires and brush fires.

ETA-223 was purchased in 1987 from Kovatch Mobile Equipment (KME) located in Nesquehoning, PA.
